Almost all portable VFR Flight Tracker GPS devices are evaluated in an emergency, you surely would be able to fly IFR. Great jeppesen base maps are standard on these units. Probably the most used feature on all portable devices, the air is the excellent HSI. Full Jeppesen chart database, which also ARTCC, FSS frequencies are also in the top flight tracker GPS units included. The VFR units in the final approach waypoints, which could prove useful whenA panel fails or a VFR deteriorate suddenly.

The maps even show roads in cemeteries in the middle of nowhere. After speaking w/ Garmin it requires downloading an interface or you can buy the DVD/CD version and transfer from a PC to the unit.
